Sankt Hans.

Here in Denmark we celebrate midsummer by having a big bonfire and calling in Sankt Hans. It is really fun and people from the neighborhood just get together to stand and maybe sing a few songs, around the big fire.

My mom, Dwayne, my grandparents and I were invited to dinner at some of my moms friends. It was Allison, her husband Jan, and Erik their nephew who is visiting from New Mexico. (I went to Copenhagen with Erik a few weeks ago). We ate a delicious dinner and then walked down to the beach to watch the fire. There happened to be a beautiful sunset, and I got a bunch of good pictures.

Enjoy.

Cats and Garden Work.

Wuhu! Dwayne came back yesterday (My moms boyfriend from Canada, if you forgot) and he already started working on the garden, cutting grass and more. I really wonder if he has ADHD sometimes, because he always have to be doing something.
So now with the great weather he is constantly outside, which I can totally understand of course. Also because he just came from Vancouver and then to get here out on the country with no noise besides the bird quirking or the wind blowing in the trees.

As a break from writing on my paper I even washed my moms car, so now it is all shiny and white. Anyways I have to get back to the said paper before my mom catches me doing nonproductive things on the internet. Bye!

Simply Too Cute.

I found our cat Morten sleeping just outside our floor-to-ceiling window. He just looked too adorable to be able and resist taking a picture of him. Especially since he is very skittish and therefore difficult to take a decent picture of.

We have one other cat called Mismi who is a very elegant female cat with beautiful fur markings. I'll see about getting a good picture of her one of these days to show to you.

I'm currently spending my days writing a long paper for school that has to be finished the 12th, and it is demanding the most of my time. As part of the assignment I'm analyzing a folktale written by H. C. Andersen called Skyggen, which means the Shadow translated.
